Along a dirt road about 1 ˝ miles from the Scenic Goldsborough Bay, here you will find the Converted Cocoa House of Hugh and Shirley McKenna. The Old Cocoa House with its moveable tray was tastefully converted into a wonderful ten room bungalow that can comfortably accommodate up to 12 persons.

The Cocoa House, situated on a picturesque 50 acre estate is committed to agro forestry and organic farming. Here you can an abundance of Citrus, Cocoa, Coffee, Mangoes, Avocadoes, Pineapples, and Bananas are just a few of the many fruits that abound on the estate. Many rare flowering shrubs and plants can be found growing in its natural habitat.

The Nature Trail

A mere 20 minutes walk under a bamboo canopy forest and banana trees in and out of pretty streams (boots are provided) with kingfishers and lizards for company and the occasional caiman is the mystical RAINBOW WATERFALLS.

The RAINBOW FALLS a spectacular 100 metre high fall, was named by the owner of the estate Hughford McKenna in 1974 (an actual rainbow appears between November to March). they cascade gently down the cliff face into a pool. A beautifully peaceful and tranquil place, a place to unwind have a swim; a world away from the busy Windward Road.

Located 11/2 miles off the Windward Road a mere 20 minutes walk from scenic windswept Goldsborough bay and the mystical Rainbow Waterfalls, this old cocoa house was tastefully converted into a wonderful 10 room bungalow.

It is situated on a picturesque 50 acre estate growing citrus, cocoa, coffee, mangoes and avocadoes.

Four well appointed spacious bedrooms with full size and twin beds are provided. All our rooms come en-suite with fans, linens and toiletries. Enjoy a wonderful shower with a generous supply of hot/cold spring water. Each room has a view of nature in its pristine beauty.

Songbirds herald each new day.  Dawn breaks crisp and clear.  Mornings and afternoons are spent discovering the natural wonders that abound around you.  Splendid nights invite you to relax on the verandah as candleflies light up the darkening skies.

Cocoa Tray Restaurant and Bar

Dining in our cozy, secluded Restaurant on mouth watering international and Caribbean cuisine is a must. Our famous callalloo soup and angelfish dishes well bring you back time and time again. Fresh fruits and vegetables grown in our very own garden are part of every meal. Meals are prepared by request only. Sumptuous local breakfast is included in the cost of your room.

Try our exotic special cocktails and wonderful natural fruit drinks. Enjoy an avocado or cucumber salad or our just right Julie’s nectar! You’ve never tasted anything like it

For those of you who prefer to prepare their own meals there is a beautiful teak kitchen with all modern conveniences including utensils for your use.

Add to the day's enjoyment with a cool tropical drink.  Savour our Just Right Rum Punch or Island Famous Cocoa Tray Pina Colada made from fresh ingredients, or our very own Julie's Nectar.  You've never tasted anything like it!

Getting Here

By car just 45 minutes from Crown Point International Airport. 25 minutes from Scarborough on your way to Charlottesville along the Windward Road through scenic villages and wonderful sea coast. A place far removed from the hustle and bustle.
